Client Projects

This was a team project created for an Advanced Human-Centered Design course in Claremont, California. I worked in a four-person cross-disciplinary team to develop a strategy for Mimente, a Mexico-based digital therapy startup, to expand their operations to the United States. We worked with founder Alberto Fernandez to propose a plan that meets the needs of Latinx clients and therapists in Los Angeles, interviewing dozens of potential users.

Mimente (“My Mind” in Spanish) is Latin America’s first digital therapy clinic, designed to match patients with skilled mental health professionals based on individual goals and needs. Mimente blends the latest technology solutions with deep cultural familiarity – providing Latinx people with safe access to experienced Spanish-language therapists who truly understand the cultural context of their patients.

In the Spring of 2021, I worked to create promotional materials for an independent bra and lingerie store in my hometown of Maui, Hawaii. The store catered to women whose sizes are not carried in department stores. I created promotional material for use on social media and on the store's ecommerce website.

This project was created in the Fall of 2022 for a Human-Centered Design course. Research was done collaboratively with a cross-disciplinary group, and I created the UX mock-up in Figma. We were tasked with creating a digital experience for change-seeking users to engage with LAist content. The result was a website sharing information about ongoing stories and events related to environmental or social justic causes. It presented the online content of LAist and KPCC in an accessible user-focused format, highlighting positive change in local communities.

KPCC is a member-supported public radio station that, together with LAist and LAist Studios, forms the Southern California Public Radio (SCPR) network. The mission of SCPR is “to strengthen the civic and cultural bonds that unite Southern California's diverse communities by providing the highest quality news and information across multiple platforms.” In their words: “We are a public forum that engages its audiences in an ongoing dialogue and exploration of issues, events, and cultures in the region and in the world. We seek to provide greater understanding and new perspectives to the people of these communities and their leaders."

I designed content plans, multilingual flyers, and web pages about Act 202, which protected hundreds of tenants facing eviction due to the long-term impacts of the 2023 Lahaina wildfire.

This was a short-term contract with Maui Mediation Services, a non-profit organization which provides alternative dispute resolution, facilitation and training in my hometown of Maui, Hawaii
